FREE Workshop: How to make Wafer Paper Cosmos & a minimalist floral cake design.
One big reason why I love decorating my cakes with wafer paper flowers is how light and real they are and look! It allows me to create really ethereal looking floral and cake creations- mimicking the beauty of real flowers.
Cosmos is one of my favorite floaty flowers to work with in my cake designs - alongside Sweet peas, leaves vines and small flowers.
Contrary to the popular belief…making beautiful & wafer paper flowers & and a clean elegant cake design doesn't have to be complicated or difficult. I am going to show you how.
Whether you are a beginner or one looking at improving your wafer paper skills- I know you are going to be in for an amazing treat!
What is Wafer Paper and is it edible?
Wafer paper is made up of a combination of potato starch, water, and vegetable oil. Most wafer papers are flavourless or have a neutral taste.
This lack of flavour is an advantage as it doesn’t affect the taste of the cake that the wafer paper is applied onto. Flowers made from Wafer Paper can also last forever, so you never have to worry about flowers withering ever again.
